I’ve seen it happen in my family. There are real risks to untreated ADHD. It’s important to take seriously. Thank you for this video!

I’m glad there are meds available to help. Just wish it was easier to find the right one.

Medical practitioners also need this information. I find it frustrating and exhausting having to explain and debate with medical professionals who are still afraid that ADHD medication might turn kids into junkies. It would be nice to have a summarized worksheet designed for medical professionals that had all the relevant citations showing the research to support those recommendations so I could have it on me every time I walked into a doctor or therapist's office.

Is there a point in a kid’s life that they would be able to function without meds? Or once they are on them do they have to be on them forever to function?
We saw a paediatrician for one of my kids and the result was he didn’t meet all the requirements to be diagnosed with ADHD but the doctor said he could take meds just to see if it would help. Im not totally against meds and am open to learning more but, generally, Ive always tried to avoid unnecessary pharmaceuticals . I also feel there are probably other factors at play that can cause adhd-like behaviours so I don’t want to rush to medicate. Thanks

Should parents stop giving their child ADHD medication in the summertime when they are going to summer camp?
