As more and more businesses have adopted CI and CD and Big Data analysis, there has been a concerted effort to merge these powerful practices. One result has been the emergence of advanced code review tools and techniques to aid developers in their work. Join us as Jaime Jorge, CEO and Founder of Codacy, demos and elaborates on several of the best and most popular linting or static code analysis tools available today; this talk will feature several programming languages and their associated tools, and provide the pros and cons of each.
We'll kick-off with some food and networking at 7:00, followed by Jaime's talk at about 7:30. Many thanks to Constant Contact for hosting and providing the refreshments for this event.
Bio: Jaime Jorge is a software engineer from Europe that founded Codacy out of his love for software code analysis and software metrics. His master thesis focused on ways to find bugs using only duplicate code. He is very passionate about programming languages, tools and automation, refactoring and generally smarter ways of doing stuff. He runs Codacy, an automated code review tool that runs as a service. With over 1M code analysis results found every day, Codacy has the purpose of helping developers prevent frustration on commits or pull requests.
