This is the first time ever I’ve seen A Prius on a “fun list”. Hats off to Brad Danger and Ideal Media for taking this leap.

I had a manual tC years back. It was actually one of my favorite cars. It was also supercharged, so added fun.

As somebody that actually owns one, the First Gen Scion tC is the best first car.

Cheap, reliable, great handling, good gas mileage, and fun to drive. The only problem that I have being that it could use more power, but for the price (About 3 grand for a good example.) that's to be expected.

When looking for one, anything below 200k miles is a great find. You're also going to want to look for one that has a dealer-installed TRD quickshifter, as well as the Bazooka Bass. Keep an eye on the oil on 2005-07 models, as they burn quite a bit of it. If you're lucky a previous owner sent it in to get that issue fixed, but it's not guaranteed. Avoid any that have the TRD supercharger (assuming you CAN find one) as they tend to destroy themselves at random.

Yep, I’m a teenager and I drive the Scion TC. It’s a really good starter car! Definitely recommend for teenagers!

First car...1984 Dodge Daytona Turbo, blue, 5speed, used.
First NEW car, 1989 Acura Integra LS 2 door, gold, 5speed.

Loved them both. Lol.

Just wanted to add that the Honda fit has a very healthy Aftermarket and an active community. Turbo kits, brake kits, catbacks, everything you need to upgrade them is available. They're relatively easy to work on too.

I’m gonna be using my dad’s 07 Yaris with a 5 speed manual and it has proven to be extremely reliable and cheap and easy to fix and it gets 43 MPG combined
