I Turned $200 Thrift find into $4000 😍!!!!! MAJOR THRIFT FLIP #ad

I couldn’t believe I found these! There are a lot of new age versions that are cheaper, but I really wanted the sturdiness of the vintage chair! We used a leather on one side, and the painted canvas for the other! Seriously obsessed with the way they came out!

I love turning what I can get cheap for something I really want irl, because they tend to turn out better than the expensive thing:

- I bought an old white and birch IKEA raisable table with 4 black chairs second hand for half the original price then used paints and gloss I already owned to turn it into a black and mahogany coloured set that I’ve always wanted. I think I saved about ~$100 on it by the end.

- I got really cheap wooden crates for like $2 each and used the same mahogany dye on them. Rather than buy finished ones for around $10-20 each.

- I bought a pair of white dungarees from H&M for $40, got brown dye for about $10 and managed to match a pair of dungarees I’d been wanting on ASOS that went for ~$130.

- I’ve bought watercolour paper with coupons (so no actual money spent), used the old leather jackets and bags we save for the cover, and sewed myself a journal one weekend.

- I bought a pair of shoes on sale for about $19 and used acrylic paint to design them instead of buying similar ones with embroidered patterns on them.

- I’ve done a couple of tie-dye ones to mimic the more expensive kinds.

Yeah, I love seeing these videos because it’s so fun to know that more people put their own spin on how to save money whilst still get what they want!

My mother had 2, but the covers were canvas not leather and since we lived in El Paso texas, the sun city, the canvas never held up under 110 degrees heat ten months out of the year. It was hard to find the covers as but when she did she was so happy. Im glad you found your pair to restore them back to beauty. She passed away in 2018, but would have loved your work.❤
