How To Add A Custom Link In A WordPress Menu (2024) | FAST & Easy!
Learn how to add custom links to WordPress menus in minutes.

Adding custom links to WordPress menus consists of a few steps. To start login to WordPress. From the WordPress dashboard, find the Appearance tab in the left-side menu. Click Menus. You'll now be on the WordPress Menus page, where you can edit, remove, and create new menus for your site. If you only have one menu, you don't have to worry about selecting the menu you want to add the custom links to. If you have multiple menus on your WordPress site, just select the menu towards the top where it says select menu to edit.

Once you select the menu, click the select button. Over on the left, you'll see custom links. Click this, and from the dropdown, you can put in any URL you'd like to link to in the menu. Underneath the URL, you'll see link text. Input the link text, which will be the name of the menu shown on your site. Once you do this, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the save changes button. Pull up your site, and you'll now see the new custom link added to your WordPress menu. You've successfully added a custom link in a WordPress Menu.

I had created two custom links for different uses, but both pages are showing same content whenever I am editing in any one of them.

Thank you for your tutorial. Question, When I go to my website it goes directly to my SHOP page. I would rather it go to my HOME page so the customer can learn about the product before they purchase. How do I direct google traffic to Home Page first rather than shop page first? Thank you in advance.

Thank you for the tutorial! I have a question - can I set the custom link in the menu to open in a new window?
