Path of Exile Best Arc Lightning build (+Crackling Lance)
I have Taken the popular Arc Lightning build and made it even better, by adjusting it to accommodate Crackling lance we managed to double our damage for free, best part is that the build can run both skills without any changes allowing you to clear all maps and beat Uber bosses on the fly, this is the best Lightning spellcaster build in Path of Exile.

Note(s):
-This Build is inherently a league starter due to the nature of Arc however the video focuses on it's performance after getting core items sorted, this doesn't mean that you need them to start playing the build at the beginning of the league.
-Make sure to prioritize following the PoB over the video in-case of conflict as PoB keep getting updated long after the video is released.

Dude come on the gear on your POB is not league start at all. you got Lv5 awakened gems including Awakened spell echo which is very expansive. you got there Lv3 empower, +1 max power charge corrupted helm, sublime vision and god dam +1 power charge implicit ring. and you tick 65% shock. not saying the build is bad but this gear is really good and doesn't represents league start scenario.

After getting to maps with this build, I'll say that you can make it work with just the basic gears, however, upgrading to the items showed in the video is quite expensive, basically every upgrade I'm going for now needs a divine or two. This made my change my mind and quit playing since I have not a lot of ideas of how to make my damage/tankiness better since there's no newbie-friendly guidelines besides "stack res and HP", I'm already capped and I can almost facetank a lot of things, usually using a mobility skill to dodge some important attacks.

TL;DR: This build can be followed, however, if you're new to the game and play alone without anyone to ask about stuff YOU PROBABLY SHOULD NOT TRY IT.

You can use the oak tattoo (2% maximum life) on the small passive nodes around your healthy mind jewel to get 4% maximum mana on each of them.

Any thoughts on the Tattoos?

On the amulet perhaps annoint a +30 int node and put on +1 to maximum power charges or +1 to level of all intelligence gems?.

Would be worth looking into the Bloodlines Tattoo.
2% increased Recovery Rate of Life, Mana per tribe you have a tattoo of.

With the basics below, this is 18% increased Recovery rate.
Potential options below. these are all small passives.
1ip is 1 small intelligence passive. d for dex. s for strength.

This build is unusable. It is unbelievably difficult just to clear tier 16 maps. The only significant part of the build I’m missing is the 34 FUCKING DIVINE MINIMUM sublime vision jewel. Everything else is basically in line minus additional power charge implicits because once again they are in the 30 plus divine range. Also, I’m somehow a thousand mana and hp below what is presented. Do not use this build unless you’re extremely experienced with this game. This is not for someone like me who’s only played under 300 hours, and can’t understand why I’m having a worse experience than my first build ever boneshatter juggernaut. Also, don’t know why cinder swallow urn is on there. I’m unable to refill it with build provided by the pob.

Hey Phoenix!

First off, great guide and thanks for putting the time into it. I wanted to point out something crucial for Mind Over Matter builds combined with The Agnostic keystone. Given the mechanic of The Agnostic, there can be situations where our mana drops to 0, preventing any mana recovery despite having high mana regen.

For this reason, the "% damage recouped as mana" craft on a ring should be considered mandatory and emphasized. It ensures more consistent mana recovery, making the build more resilient. This might be a game-changer for some players, and I believe it's worth emphasizing more in the guide or in a future update.

do you suggest any other type of mitigation? i'm 93, but still dieing a lot at t16 maps. damage is great, but my survivability sucks :s MOM and Endurance charges isn't enought to hold a lot of one shots I got from legion and expedition mobs... Ireach 5k mana and 3k HP, thats my gear fault, I know... But getting biggers hp and mana pools is enough?

I didn't manage to get it full, 11power charges, 400+ crit multi, so on... but it helped a lot.
I wanted a decent build, no meta... and I can actually slap the guardians like they are nothing.

Hi Phoenix. I would really appreciate if you could put some notes for beginners on the POB. We should level with Arc and then change to Crackling Lance when fighting bosses, is that so? :) Some tree progressions early on would also be pretty dope. Should I buy Celestial Arc Effect or Crackling Lance effect (if I am to decide based on which skill will I use the most)?

This makes sense as a build but saying 70m damage with leaguestarter budget is just BS. To get "70m" you need all awakened lv5 gems, weapons that are 2 divines each right now, timeless jewels that are well over 1D and the way you get resistances, a sublime vision that is multiple divines and currently not even one is on trade, 4D chest, 1D helm.. not to mention one ring alone is 40 divines, not even counting the rest of the top tier gear so yeah, you can get 70m dps, but with a budget more like 50-100D. Saying league starter makes it really seem like you're just saying nonsense to get views.

I'm, quite a new player to poe (this is my 2nd league) and I have picked this as my starting build. Last league I've flowed step by step guide so my game knowledge is quite limited. Even with that, I think I've made the build going so it is definitely doable even if you don't know everything in the game - As opposed to what some people here in the comments have said.
I have got a little stuck on red maps thou so here is my tip for anyone who might be struggling in similar spot now. The RF gives you a big DMG boost so stack your mana regen so you can run it. I had it turned off because with it sometimes after mob hit me I reached the spot where I was at 0 mana and with no regen. To solve that equip mana flask instead of life flask - it will improve your survability greatly as well.

Hi there,
I'm running this build in current league and I must say it is better arc build that I've done yet.
Its not my first league but I never actually got all 4 voidstones or killed an Uber boss, so I'm not a "pro" in any shape or form.

When I loaded POB I immediately noticed that items are BIS with basically max rolls. Some of them I never seen on trade this league even if they exist. In other words POB shows possible end result. I tried to scale it to an average values (with actually obtainable gear) and if we ignore Sublime Vision Jewel, this build can output about 30M (give or take 5M) for about 10-ish div. I would say dropping a div really helps to kick-start the build.

Acts went smooth as silk, no issues. I went into mapping with 4-link Cloak of Defiance and a bunch of alright rares and there I learned what this build is lacking.

Worst about this build is physical damage mitigation. Not running Grace or Determination? Well there is no cheap and easy way to mitigate Phys damage. Also burst Chaos damage is a problem but we can pretend it does not exist ;)

Best is the ease of map clear and if you struggle to kill something, switching to Crackling Lance will get you there for sure.

I run this build with 1 Life flask against Corrupted blood and one Mana flask which restores some mana instantly in case of emergency.

All in all definitely not HS viable from get go but pretty good (and easy to understand) build with no shortage of damage for maps.
So far I'm going for 2nd voidstone and having great time getting insta-killed by blinking into pack of monsters.

Strong 8/10 for build, 4/10 for POB

There is some guide on website how much def i should have cuz already got 87 lvl ( fire cold and lighitning 75%+ resist ) armor about 2k + the same evasion and over 5k mana but dying from everything feels like this build doesnt have deff
