I have almost been hit twice by eagles flying into power lines. One was captured & taken to the RehabCentre. The other just exploded in a shower of guts. I took the carcass to what I assumed was the appropriate gov’t agency & they put it in their freezer. This led to a huge red-tape battle with Municipal, First Nations, local Provincial & Federal gov’t bureaus over who had responsibility for this bird. Eventually it was stuffed & ended up in the local museum.
