I know this might be far fetched but I wouldn't be surprised if the monkey was trained to do so by a thief In hopes of receiving a snack for his behavior I mean in new York a man trained crows to fetch him coins off the street everyday in return for food until he managed to make enough to not work

hahahaha i love monkeys. fun fact: i’m taiwanese and in taiwan some areas have a lot of monkeys. and kids have to hold on to their lunches carefully otherwise monkeys steal them. i saw a video of a girl having to fight the monkey to get her lunch back :-)
