The carbide inserts on the Woodpeckers Ci Pen Mill kit cut this burl extremely cleanly trimming the wood back to the brass tube with absolutely no tear out! I have made thousands of pens over the years and used several different pen mandrels, all of them either lost pressure while turning or bent out of shape when turning. This Woodpeckers pen mandrel had none of those problems! The mandrel turned true and gave me an excellent looking pen barrel to turn into a beautiful pen!
