my mother is an example of a strong woman who made it because of her family. she was valedictorian of her high school and salutatorian of her college during her educaation. she met and fell in love with my father. it was after she was married that she went to college and she took a break from college to have me and my brother (twins) then went back to college and took me and my brother with her. She obtained 2 Masters and 3 Bachelors when dad said that she needed to find another outlet. She then became a teacher teaching both college students and high school. She was an avid reader and always told our father that she could do better. He then told her to write a book. She did but she placed it in a box in her closet. She didn't want to send it in because of fear of rejection and failure. Our father asked our grandmother (who lived with us) if she new where her daughter had put the book. She said yes, and together they mailed the book in. It was accepted and she became a published author. She continued to teach (her first love) and she continued to write. Our father was the head accountant of a company that he worked for. She wrote books and taught until the day she died. Mom and dad stayed happily married their entire lives and always supported each other through thick and thin and credited each other for their achievements in life. Both of them were very family oriented, and always put each other and the family first and foremost.

I never understood it. Men in such positions tell them time and time again, that all they do is WORK. They don't live in a luxury apartment and are on vacation 250 days a year. Sometimes I think women confuse successfull hard working men with sons of Arabian oil princes and other nepo babies who can use daddies money and have all the free time in the world

$60k a year 20 years ago was great in the majority of states. Not anymore.

$80-100k is the new $60k.

First time I think I disagree with Jordan Peterson. I make about $60k/year and I definitely would like some more money to renovate my house, more money to get a nicer, newer vehicle, more money to be able to go out more.

He didn’t debunk the gender pay gap lol. If anything he addressed why middle age men opt to off themselves at a higher rate. If this is the pressure they are constantly under well into their 40’s and 50’s no wonder…
