Hey Rusty, I am running on a 12 year old Rheem gas model (50 gallon) nat gas, great products. What a cool thing to use the heat pump to add some extra cooling. The vent looks good, thanks for up loading!

our existing water heater started leaking. replaced with a Rheem 50 gallon hybrid. vented cold air out, may make solar air heater for duct in. Local power PUD gave us a rebate check for $900. Glad we did it!

Thanks for the informative video Lloyd. We currently are using a very old electric water heater and I've been thinking about upgrading to something more efficient, and this Rheem looks like a good choice. You'll have to keep us updated as to the cost savings.

I need to look into that kind of water heater. I’d need to find a way to divert the cold exhaust away for part of the year though because my hot water closet is right in the middle of the house. Thanks for sharing!

Great install except for Shark Bite fittings. I only use those for temporary repairs until I get the right parts.
