Omg, I watched Sherif’s video a few days ago and I was thinking about leaving a comment on your chanel and asking you if you could help spread the word since you have followers and then I saw you sharing this video of yours on your insta story 😄 So this is what I did (long shot I know): I contacted Amnesty in my home country about advice on who I can go to so they could look at his case and possibly start a signature campaign as they have before for anyone who have suffered unfair trial. They actually responded to me the next day and asked for his full name and about his chanel and that they would try to contact human rights organization in Egypt. I encourage anyone who reads this and wants to help to do the same. Contact Amnesty in your country and ask them if there is anything International Amnesty or others can do for Sherif Gaber and briefly explain his case. Maybe it will get somewhere 💛 I dont have any other ideas

In the Arab world, you are who you know. There's another prominent Egyptian ex Muslim called Hisham Al Masei who did face prison, but he was out quickly. He still makes videos and isn't entirely safe, but because he has relatives and connections that are high-ranking, he's in a better spot than Sharif. Unfortunately, I think Sharif has no friends in the security community in Egypt.

I’m American and found Sherif Gaber years ago. He really inspired me. I enjoy that he is witty and edgy but had no clue he was being persecuted. DANG. Just let him go!!

There's another incident of an Arab ex Muslim who deleted all of his videos and posted a video of his conversion to Islam. The strange part about this story is that the reasons he gave for converting were all debunked by him in his previous videos. After doing some digging, I found that he was most probably threatened by authorities or jihadist organisations. And people still think Islam is peaceful 🤷

Apostasy has to be normalised . if it was normalised there would be so many more openly ex Muslims.

He can apply for political asylum here in Germany. If he can manage to do that, I help direct people to the incredibly robust immigration/migrant help network here in Germany.

He could also look for work here - we have a large Egyptian population. I'm not sure what the situation was with him and Germany before, but maybe with more details it can be helped...

The Western world was once like the Arab world of today when it came to religious dogmatism.

History should give us a ray of hope in this very chaotic world. Darwin and Galileo faced a lot of religious backlash from the Church when they were alive and now, they are now regarded as brave people who dissented from religious orthodoxy.

I am usually a very pessimistic guy but I feel Sherif Gaber will be remembered as the guy who was a catalyst for the Arab Renaissance.

It's so ironic to see how some muslims in this comment section are behaving exactly the way Aladdin has described in this video. They could not have been more helpful in proving his point. I really hope Sharif Gaber finds a safe place. Seeing his latest video is truly heartbreaking.

Sheriff has been fighting and struggling for ten years now his life is destroyed and he has nothing left he have been rubbed from his money from his youth and from his mental health yet nobody has spoke about him nobody cares

I've now got boost up to 10% anxiety when i see the apostate map in my country and what happened to them. Even if it's on social media they can get arrested. I'm so scared to live now.

Many sympathetic religious folks would send their thoughts and prayers to Sherif, and yet nothing happens. What saves lives and preserves beauty is action, and it is action that will change the very foundations of the world for the better.
