The number 1 issue I had for the first couple of days was figuring out how to fill market stalls with the hundreds of goods sitting across the road in a granary or storehouse. The answer turned out to be as simple as removing and instantly adding families back into manufacturing buildings, so the manufacturing workers wouldn't occupy marketplace stalls.

Same deal with farms. If I want effiency I have to micromanage every farmhouse and field.

These are not game breaking bugs, but it feels almost like I have to fight with the game to make things run smoothly.

I know. It's Early Access. It's not finished.

Yeah…manor lords is too easy…. I’m not dying from the first bandits or running out of food 🥲

It is hilarious how incredibly stupid the people are who buy unfinished games and then complain about them being unfinished d unbalanced.

What part of 'Early Access' do these kind of people not understand?
Greg even posts a warning after you launch, saying it's not feature complete & there may be bugs.
It's a public beta guys, and if you don't like

Almost like they should have done some QC in the weeks leading up go the game instead of more marketing....

The trade perk is good, but i also can see your point. Perhaps they could leave it in for easy games, have a modified version for default games and take it out completely for hard games?

Instead of making it 25 flat just make it 25% off the original price.

i like the trade perk. if someone doesn’t like it, they could just not use it, no?

Such a good game, but not Ready yet. Very big Problem for me, is the Lack of overviews and statistics. How many goods are consumed per Month, what buildings were built already in the village and so on. I love the roadbuilding, the housing and professions and the Atmosphere. The game needs a lot of work and it might be the best City builder/ strat game of the recent years!

Just raise your tithe for increased influence. It's pretty fast and doesn't lower opinion like taxes. It's a fuckin good game already, that's why it's popular.

Buying a route is for a Dedicated trader. To the left it states if a route is required. If it is not you dont need to pay the fee to trade but it is less effective

Produce excess food > tithe 20-30% > influence flows in faster than you can use it.

I've finished the game with Restoring the peace on Challenging difficulty and it's not that easy, the first fight with the baron is quite hard but when you won the first 2-3 battles, they just can't challenge you anymore. It become a joke if you can afford all the mercenary full time. The start is hard but not the end.

I bought it early access and played for over 30 hours. I see your points and I have faith that it will be even better once it is all fully released. I hope he or hooded horse do not charge for dlc or full game. That would be unfair.

i tried all the perks in the same game as you get all different perks in all your provinces. the part i found hard about it was keeping track of everything going on in 5 different cities at the same time as i was fighting bandits and fighting a war for claims on my territory or trying to take a new province

You do not need to buy the trade routes. You do not need to spend a single penny on your trading post to make money from it. Traveling merchants will buy goods that you have in your trading post just as long as you have that item set to export. All the trade routes do is guarantee the sale of that particular item more regularly by creating a dedicated traveling merchant that will come to your trading post to buy and send your worker off-map to sell that particular item. Buying the trading routes can get incredibly expensive very quickly and I personally find it completely unnecessary to do so as those goods will eventually sell anyway. The only routes you NEED are the ones at the bottom of the list labeled "Major Trades" and you should be focusing on buying only those routes if you want those dedicated traders. Wasting money on the minor trades will bump the cost of the major routes up to the point you'll be wishing you took out that trade perk.

My two major complaints with the game are the lazy hunters and deer. I find that as soon as the deer population gets down to your set limit - I always do 10, regardless of whether or not it's a rich deposit, the meat production grinds to a halt and never again catches up despite wasting perks on the hunter's camp. The simple solution to this would be adding meat production to the chicken coop and sheep farm. I'd also like to see goat's milk added in the future, and would be really happy if that went one step further to give us a cheese maker trade. We'd be getting much more food from already existing burgages and farms.
My second complaint is the off-map lord needs to chill TF out and give me a damned chance to fight some bandits! I prefer to play without the arms delivery, so it takes me a decent while to build up my army. The instant a bandit camp spawns the lord sends in his entire army to kill them, loot their camp and then he immediately claims a territory. In my latest save I was positioned right in the center of the map and was almost completely surrounded by the lord before I even made my army. Now I have no option but to wage all-out war against this prick just so I can build some farms.

The influence thing for me is really hard cause the AI army just go kill all the bandit camp on the map before i can even hire mercenery( play on vanilla), the only way im currently able to get them fist is to rush manor and call mercenery rushing enemy bandit the moment they pop up.

I didn’t chose the trade perk in one game and didn’t think it made a huge difference. The money always seemed to be there to pay for a route. 25 for a route makes it easy but 250 still wasn’t difficult and most were less.

Honestly what's in the game currently design wise is made incredibly well. The end game just isn't really there because it hasn't been implemented yet. As someone who's really not played that many city building games but is really interested in historical games I think this game is great as it is as a medieval town simulator and I can't wait for more content to come to the game and I don't think that there will be any issues over quality as what is in the early access is really high quality. Just some balance issues, which is to be expected, and missing content which the dev was very open about and will be coming in the future. For the price, it's great and honestly I love the expanding medieval/historical genre of games, can't wait to see what the future of manor lords has in store considering the overall great reception of the early access build.
