After sitting in the woods for so long, the interior was in poor shape and a little rank to say the least.
Here's the first half of replacing my carpet.

On the dead pedal the center comes off (tread section) factory it's just 2 studs on the kick panel and the pedal is just held with 2 10mm nuts if you have a bolt in the exterior then at least one of the factory studs broke & someone's drilled it out & put a bolt & nut. You probably want to take it out when you install new carpet. As far as smell try large Tupperware container(or several small ones) with charcoal inside it poke holes in lid so it won't make a mess. Hope that helps

NEW SUBSCRIBER! Epic build. Impressive!!

3:57 reminds me... XD. I have starting issues with my 1990 Integra GS 3 door coupe. Owned mine since Sept 2014. When its wet outside the car will randomly die during idle. I would turn key.... it idles for 1 second and dies. It would do this many times in a row before It would stay running then Id drive it. BUT often while driving it will just DIE under power. Car just loses ignition and Im left coasting the car, turning the ignition to get it started again. Sucks on the highway. I replaced the starter and distributor about 2 years ago and IT STILL DIDNT START consistently in wet weather. My dads friend who is a real good mechanic was like "hey lets try unplug the ECU in the passenger floor board and check the pins" ...

Turns out the car started right up after just unplugging and cleaning the pins. I think the ECU is just old and failing though because there is good amount of white corrosion building up on one section of the plug housing. I think think this may the the final fix... just a NEW ECU? Rock auto wants 300 dollars but it might be my only option if this fall and winter 2020 are a wet on.

BTW..

Im wondering how hard was it to remove the headliner in these DA9's? I need to find info on where an how to pull the trim from the A, B, and C pillars without breaking the 30 year old plastic. I need to get access to my moon roof motor. I really cant find info in the Haynes, or Chilton, and every video online I can find is only 3rd generation headliner removal.

Could smell that rank-ass carpet from here! Looks like some forest hobo slept in there at some point over the last 3 years. You should be wearing a biohazard suit cleaning that thing! Lol
