Sorry Sir you made a mistake with the (-16) that you got on your third step.... -4 + (-4) is not -16 but -8.... correct me if I'm wrong....

If you are trying to find the derivative of (t+4) to the 1/2 power why did you just put the 1/2 in the front and have t +4? Shouldn't it be 1+0 since t would be one and 4 is a constant number so it should be zero?
