Ahsoka was blamed for a crime she did not commit, what if before Anakin arrived with Barriss in custody, Master Plo took the Blame for Ahsoka? What would happen to Plo as a result of this decision? Would the Jedi Council, present, accept this decision? What would be the reaction of the Galactic Republic, Palpatine, and Tarkin?

Anakin looks at Ahsoka (who is utterly distressed by the prospect of Plo being punished for this), looks at Plo protecting Ahsoka, and doubles down to find proof it was someone else. Anakin gains faith in Plo, if not the rest of the Council.

At least that is my guess before hearing this story.

I feel like this would backfire short term because a Jedi Master doing this would look even worse to the public, yet Ashoka staying would be beneficial long term as Anakin would have a better reason to stay in the light with her around.

What if darth Vader never betrayed StarKiller. Both him and Vader killed Palpatine. Never let the rebel alliance to grow. As Palpatine thought the rebel alliance would never become a huge threat. On attacking the rebels killed Leia and Luke. During the battle of Yavin four. During the invasion Vader used Thrawn fleet with an Imperial Interdictor class star destroyer. Along with vaders Personal Star destroyer the Executor-class Star Dreadnought. Stopped the rebels from leaving. StarKiller became unofficial son to Vader and cared for gelen Merek deeply.

While a Jedi Master, especially a member of the Jedi High Council getting charged with the crime would have caused greater problems for the Jedi Order in the shorter-term, in the longer-term it really would have paid off, I think. If just one member of the Jedi High Council recognized how dumb the whole situation was and stood up for Ahsoka it could have made the difference for Anakin and being able to trust anyone on the Jedi Council, and in regards to Ahsoka likely staying in the Order. That would be even more the case if the whole Jedi Council were in agreement with Plo Koon and backed this decision as part of a longer-term goal of saving Ahsoka's life while finding the culprit, in which case Anakin almost certain doesn't fall due to having more faith and trust in the Jedi Council.

So this one is a bit convoluted, but here it goes. Dooku starts the Separatist movement but remains a Jedi, as the Jedi Order realizes he is right and withdraws from the Republic due to its corruption. Losing the Jedi, who were its most powerful warriors and dealing with a Separatist movement, the Senate is approached by Darth Maul (who is acting as the public face of the Dark Jedi/Sith Order and acting under Sidious), as he offers the Senate his Dark Jedi order as replacements for the Jedi to lead the newly-developed droid armies against the Separatists. In response to that, the Jedi throw their support behind the CIS and decide that both the Dark Jedi and Republic need to be destroyed due to their evil ways, especially if the Republic would be corrupt/stupid enough to ally with the Sith. Dooku develops the clones to aid his Jedi brethren.
