Poilievre blasts Trudeau as 'incompetent' over allegations Conservative MP threatened by China

Speaking during Wednesday's question period, Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre asked Liberals why Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau wasn't supposedly aware of a Beijing agent allegedly threatening a Conservative MP and his family two years ago because of a vote in the House of Commons.

To this, Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino said that the federal government takes all threats seriously, especially when they come from foreign agents.

Poilievre called Trudeau "incompetent," to which Mendicino doubled down that the government is protecting its MPs and democratic institutions, especially from foreign agents.
