How do you control those sinful impure thoughts that seem to take up residence in your mind? You know...those thoughts that you have that you're glad no one else knows about but you. I say aloud “I capture every thought and bring it back to the obedience of Christ”, until the thoughts stop ( because sometimes they seem to be on a loop) I replace it with a scripture or just praising God and thanking him for renewing my mind ahead of time

I hear evil thoughts about God that I know are not in my heart... I have to speak against them in Jesus name!!! I really needed this video🙌🏼 I’ve repented and I’m trying to fight off my addiction to porn, lust, and using foul language. Everyday I feel like I have even more tempting thoughts now that I’ve decided to turn away and turn towards God. I’m starting to realize that spiritual warfare is 100% real and hard. The hardest battle you’ll ever fight is the battle for your own mind. I know I can’t do it on my own, and reading the Word, talking with my dad, and watching videos like this have helped me so much. Allen, I had a STRONG porn addiction for 14 years which I have JUST gotten the victory over recently. BUT! As you mentioned the thought life(the flesh), DAILY wages war with our spirit, (if we are saved). That said, I recommend ding 5 things with the word of God, to BUILD A STRONG OFFENSE-Not DEFENSE, but OFFENSE against the enemy. 1. READ the Bible-DAILY(I recommend a plan that takes you through the bible in a year). 2. STUDY the word/3. MEDITATE on what you've read/4. PRAY the word(OUT LOUD)!and 5. DECLARE the word over your situation. You can SEE that ALL of these steps are PROACTIVE! AND, they take roughly 256 days to truly grab hold of your inner Man(or Woman), for one to walk in total victory ( in EVERY area).

Yes! Reading the word of God is the best method. What did our lord Jesus do when he was being tempted for 40 days and 40 nights... He quoted scriptures back to satan. The more we read the word and try to keep it in our hearts, the more victorious we will become with the small battles we find ourselves in our thoughts.
