Israel’s plan for victory in Gaza has 'Conspicuously failed' | Quotable

Daniel Levy, president of the US/Middle East Project, says that Israel's goal for victory is defeating Hamas and that the "IDF has conspicuously failed" to do so. Levy says that Israel is hiding behind the idea of a Rafah invasion being integral to defeating Hamas, but there "is no Israeli victory".

Nor will they ever have a victory there…they burned all their bridges as they went…as they apparently thought they could have it their way, no matter what…but, the world opinion can’t be ignored nor swayed away from what they have done to the Palestinian people.

He is one of the most honest and very informative academic, a pleasure to listen to amongst all the war mongers talking up the genocide and in this terrible phase we are all witnessing in front of our eyes.

What is happening in the Middle East has made me to respect the leadership of Mandela. He was certainly a wise man. Israel leadership has failed miserably. Very non strategic

Palestinian refugees were created by Israel. That's why the UN resolved unanimously on the "right of return" clause (Article 11 of Resolution 194, Dec 1948, of Security Council, supported by US, Uk, France). This clause was a pre-condition of Israel’s admission to the UN. Israel accepted this clause unconditionally in 1949 and so got admitted. The UN General Assembly has since reaffirmed Resolution 194 every year since 1949. Other UN Security Council resolutions have also reaffirmed the Palestinian refugees' right of return, including Resolution 169 in 1980.

ليس للمحتل حق الدفاع عن النفس هو حق أصيل فقط لأصحاب الارض انشروها في كل مكان
the occupier does not have the right to self-defense. It is an inherent right only to the owners of the land. Spread it everywhere

They still haven’t rescued all of their hostages. That was supposed to be the objective. And they failed those people. Disgusting.

Psychological warfare has become the subtle hand that silently moves the pawns. It’s not about the clashing of swords or the roar of guns; it’s the whisper in the crowd, the rumor that spreads like wildfire, and the idea that takes root in the collective psyche.

This invisible warfare operates on a simple premise: control the mind, and you control the battlefield. It’s waged not with physical weapons but with words, images, and narratives. It’s the art of shaping perceptions to achieve strategic goals without firing a single shot.

From the troll farms that sow discord on social media to the deepfake videos that blur the line between truth and fiction, psychological warfare is the modern-day Trojan Horse. It sneaks past our defenses, disguised as truth, only to unleash chaos from within.

As nations grapple with this intangible threat, the battleground has shifted from the physical realm to the cognitive landscape. Here, victory is not claimed by overpowering the enemy but by outsmarting them, by winning hearts and minds, and by turning their own cognitive biases against them

Apparently, Isreal is not winning Hamas so it's best to stop the fighting

For Israeli victory, keep doing things that have failed. That's how monolithic Israeli mindset really is.

What people don't say. A people without a Airforce, without a Navy, without a standing Army without Tanks, Armoured personnel carriers, Artillery etc etc, facing the 3rd most advanced militariry power and also very much loved nation of the west with all their Military diplomatic and covert and overt operations full backing support and intervention with a RING OF PROTECTION around it by the west and US and many new found Arab lovers of it. Why commentators don't mention this aspect. Except very very very few.

This was never about destroying Hamas, or rescuing the hostages. Israel knows they can never defeat H militarily. How many new recruits have been made for Hamas, from civilians watching their parents, or their children being unalived over the last 7 months.
The only way to end this for the good of everyone, is to agree to talks, and unfortunately Hamas has to be included in any discussions for long term, if there is to be any chance of lasting peace
