One of my favorite parts of going to China is the food. Good, delicious and traditional! Here, we see how traditional Jian Bing, a Chinese street food, is prepared.
Starting with a crepe like batter spread very thinly on a hot skillet, an egg is added along with cilantro and green onion before being flipped over. Next, a savory sauce, sweet hoisin sauce and optional spicy (mala jiang) sauce is spread on the cooked batter. Lastly, a giant fried wanton is placed on before the crepe is folded and served!
Shot in Beijing, this food can be found in numerous locations all around China.
The skill it takes to prepare this delicious crepe style breakfast food is incredible!
