In this episode, we’ll talk about the best and latest entry-level or starter aircraft designed and built for beginner pilots looking to grow their first few hundred flight hours. We’ll talk about some of the most essential features and technical specs to look out for when buying or chartering an airplane, so be sure to stick around to see our top pick!

When looking for an easy-to-fly plane, a good place to start is to consider an airplane’s stability, which refers to how the airplane reacts to disturbances. Next would be a high degree of error forgiveness, the simplicity of design, and the aircraft’s ease of use, to lessen the intimidation factor when flying your first plane. Lastly, beginner pilots should always consider reviews and suggestions from other pilots because, after all, experience will always be the best teacher.

*If you’re a beginner pilot, which of these entry-level or starter aircraft piqued your interest? If you’re a more experienced pilot, do you know any other models that offer comparable performance?*

I would say that a 400, 000 dollar massively overpowered taildragger is a horrible choice for a beginner.

Beginner trust fund pilots? You should make another video with realistic aircraft for first time buyers

Ultralights are the best for a beginner as theyre every low speed and afforable to get into and try before you go spend $50k+, let alone $400, 000. Can be had complete running in good shape for under $10k nowadays. And their Stall speed and landing distance is so low you can coast to an easy safe landing nearly anywhere in any field if an engine fails. And engines are sub $5k for a NEW one and so simple anyone can work on them

for better value, there are a number of LSA (light sport training airplanes) available.
These aircraft have no more than two seats and are subject to airspeed and weight limits. Have been tested and approved under a different set of regulations than traditional airplanes. Both sport and private students can train in these LSAs subject to the limitations imposed on the aircraft.
Popular models include the Flight Design CTLS, Tecnam P92, and Vans RV 12

Skip all of these and buy a used piper or cessna that you can realistically afford.
