For eveyone asking, yes, it works for specials and tanks. You gotta get it in the right place though. Get as far out over the ladder as possible before falling.

This idea should be reworked into a deployable. You can set down a reinforced pallet as a wall or something to plug up a hole to slow down infect. I imagine they'd be able to break through it, though.

For survival enthusiasts, infected ladder blocking is very useful if you plan to camp at a single area.

This works very well in Dark Carnival motel rooftoop. At spawn, you are given 2 ammo upgrades, deploy at the edge-most of the roof and block invisible infected ladder near the entrance of the motel (If you are standing on the AC unit and facing the motel pool, go left until you see a box/rectangle shape in the rooftop texture).

This deployment also delays specials sneaking behind if you plan on camping the roof area. Then you can decide which additional roof ladder you want to block. Blocking the ladder behind the storage room of the motel is also preferable.

I usually use my own body to block the witch (in that case stay on the ladder and have your friends melee the witch) or common infected (stay on top of the ladder as in the video)
