Three years later Carp and Papi are long gone, and Price is the ace of the Red Sox staff. Baseball is weird.

The umpires didn't do their jobs. Price hit ortiz, nothing happened, some rays batter got hit, warnings issued (according to the rulebook, that means that the next pitcher to hit a batter shall be ejected from the game.). Later, Brandon workman thre well behind longoria, when rain was POURING DOWN (and for those who had never thrown a baseball, throwing, no, pitching with a wet baseball is VERY difficult. The ball WILL slip out of your hand), workman is ejected. Although he did not hit the batter, and it occured four innings after the origional mess. These umpires were obviously lacking experience.

Its too bad both the Sox and Rays suck. With all the tension between the two teams, they'd make for a perfect ALCS like the Yankees/Sox in 2003.
