Thing I always loved about baseball, it's the only time or place where a one on one fight turns into 40 on 40 fight in less than a minute!

Larry Bowa, coach for the Dodgers who played for the Phillies in the 70's. Davey Lopes, coach for the Phillies, who played for the Dodgers in the 70's. You can't make this stuff up.

Victorino had every right to be pissed off. He understood the situation and was even fine with being thrown at, but not beaned.

Say what you want about Manny Ramirez, but baseball was more fun with him around.

Manny Ramirez won the world series a year before this with the Red Sox and Shane Victorino won the world series with the Red Sox five years later.

Letting go of Danny Lopes was the beginning of the end. Phillies plowed right through the Dodgers easily. Manny was butt sore.

I can’t blame people hating the Dodgers during this time. They were so dirty up until Roberts took over.

I still remember this, and being a long life Phillies fan, watching this from Dodger stadium was wierd. Watching (former dodger) Phillies 1st base coach tell at Dodger Mario Duncan (, 93+ Phillies players and 70 and 80, s player and former Phillies manager Larry Bowa. Who else thought it was wiered.
