Taotao ATM150-A Evo scooter - Garmin Nuvi 205 GPS & Opteka solar battery installation (part C-5)
Показать описание
Taotao ATM150-A Evo 150cc Chinese scooter. Although not shown in the video, YOU MUST attach a TETHER just in case the suction cup or mount fails. You can attach the tether to the right mirror, and that will work.
Here are some tips and tricks for mounting and installing a Garmin Nuvi 205 GPS on an ATM150-A. A couple of solutions are proposed: 1) velcro, 2) RAM mount. In solution #1, both an Opteka solar charger and the Garmin are velcroed to the cluster and front plastics. The drawback is that the viewing angle isn't optimal and there's the risk that the Garmin will fly off if you hit a big enough bump. In solution #2, my preferred solution, a RAM mount is used. The Opteka charger is still velcroed to the front plastic. The RAM mount suction cup fits perfectly above the scooter's tachometer and is extremely secure, although the suction cup is susceptible to big bumps. The Garmin fits perfectly and securely in a cradle and can be rotated into an ideal viewing position. All of the items you'll need to purchase are shown with part numbers in the video. I'll list them here.
