I so love how so many makers, Youtubers, and science communicators (my tribe) are connecting to Open Sauce. Unless I win the lottery (which would be especially amazing because I don't do them), I'll never get to go, but it makes me feel warm inside just knowing all the connections you all must form and share there. The sharing, support, and collaboration you all have together is one of the biggest reasons I follow so many of you. Thanks, Jen, for sharing our own connections to Open Sauce. Your own excitement about it is obvious and happy-causing!

Fantastic video showcasing your favorite things! The recycled airplane parts event bar is absolutely wonderful. I also greatly appreciate your interest in finding special recycled items for sale, to extend their life and bring joy to you.

I've 3D printed my Milwaukee battery mounts. It takes very little time and filament and it's SO worth it.

I've used the Iroda SolderPro-120 for remote soldering for years. It runs on butane and is rated at 30-125w equivalent. It is small enough to fit in my electrician's pouch for those situations when I need to solder at the top of a ladder or scaffold, which happens quite frequently. They have a 30-70w unit as well (SolderPro-50).

The soldering gun is fantastic. You need to 3D print a cord connector contraception to connect the battery to the tool with a cord. It seems counterintuitive that something for fine work is so heavy with a battery. As for the Pop rivet tool, I love mine. The only issue is the rivet waste collector. After a while, you need to install an elastic band to keep the lid on. It may start out as nice to have, but once you have it, every project has a rivet option.
