I have a Tilley bucket hat (cloth) that I wear outdoors in the summer while working. Just soaking it in cold water keeps me quite cool!

Here in the Finger Lakes the Amish construction crews use cheap straw hats that cost about $15 or so. They have some style and are inexpensive. I use a ventilated Tilley that I can wash out often. Have to protect my ears, face and neck from those rays. On dry 70 degree days you can wear a fur felt hat.

Im not a guitar guy, but that is a beautiful guitar sir. Thanks for another good video that perpetuates healthy hat-cen-tricity. Here in AR, the heat and humidity really necessitates a good straw. I love my Bailey's of Hollywood palm panama, brim all up, but could use another darker one. Only time you can wear a felt around here in summer is on a nice mild night

I do like to wear my felts sometimes in the summer. Here in Texas you go from an air conditioned place to the car then to your destination air conditioned placed. I am not outside that much so I don't have a problem with the Texas heat.

The expedition and the explorer are nice hats. I own the explorer & it's really light. Only issue I've had is that the slightest breeze will blow it off my head. 🤔😮

In Mississippi in the summer you would die with a felt straws are a fact of life and you still hunt shade

Any other hats at JJ’s similar to the bushman? I bought it but it’s out of stock for awhile. Really dig that 31/2 brim. Maybe something in the Stetson catalog coming?

I think a dark straw fedora looks good for all seasons. Maybe I'm just a little bias because I own one 😁

I’d wear a nice Panama hat ... I have a natural one with a 3” brim I use for the beach and a white Fedora styled Panama I use for golfing.
I have a grey straw Stetson for a nice summer day that isn’t too hot.
Yeah my fur felt definitely stays on its hat holder during hot days :)

I have a lot of straws i wear in the summer. Especially when im at the pool at the peak of summer. However i do wear my felts on occasion in the sun. Mainly the cheaper ones. My buffalo felt hat i wear quite a bit in all weathers but for some strange reason i kinda like the looks it picks up with the elements. Not sure why.

one problem with wearing felt hats in summer is the leather band. leather doesnt soak up sweat so it runs down your face. Ive played outdoor gigs and had drips of sweat run down behind my sunglasses and pool in my eyes haha

I've got the head sweating in my fedora blues. 👍🎶🎶🎶. Pull the hat liner and it's better. ✌️

But dont forget - when you wear a hat you have all your hair beneeth. It would be the same when I'd wear a woolen ski cap under my straw. So maybe you are warmer with your combination of your natural "wool" with a panama than I with a felt hat - what do you think Kevin?

Do you have any videos or info on the Stetson Tom Mix in Silverbelly? I can’t seem to find any videos about it on YouTube. I just ordered it from Stetson this morning, I love the look of it! My only concern is that I have a small head (6 3/4) and worried it may look too big on me.
