My friend Sarah ended her life after being addicted to H, and telling me she wanted to go. Her parents died when she was young, from AIDS. She was broken in every way a person could be, much like Betty (and me too). Her death both came as a shock and was expected, at the same time. It traumatized me. That was 10 years ago, when I myself was newly sober. I’m grateful that I am 11 years sober today and with a new and crazy life! I don’t know if Sarah reincarnated or if she served her mission to teach me how to be strong and independent and is chilling in heaven, but I still think of her often. Wherever she is, I know that she is perfect as she is. Thank you Betty ❤

Edit, I totally resonate with the fear of recovery. This fear is what holds so many of us back. When substances are your ONLY safety blanket, and your life is all trauma, it’s terrifying. SOOOO grateful to be walking through my fear today, and empowered to live a beautiful life! I went back to finish college and graduated with honors, won a scholarship and now I’m wrapping up grad school. Going to be what I was too afraid to be in my 20’s, a high school art teacher. I hope to teach my kids the healing power of art, just show them how cool it is 😉 ❤

I've listened this woman's story before and it hasn't changed a bit, I loved it then and have never forgotten it. As a user survivor myself it spoke to me on a mill levels. I found myself praying this type of experience would happen to not only users, but any lost souls. I wish all the time an experience like that would happen to me. The take away for me personally is that when I hear her story and her words, voice, eyes and all I truly believe in my heart it's 💯 accurate . We understand that if it grew in a cramped space with little light and stony ground we would admire it's tenacity to continue growing despite it's environment - life finds a way to live. Another astonishment is that she's been through ALL THAT and looks 22 years old. That sort of lifestyle usually adds decades to one's appearance. All these people talking about "picking their experiences" makes me wonder WTH was I thinking "up there" during my own "pre-birth" planning. I must have been like, "Oooo...I want to be intellectually and artfully gifted but linger in mediocrity and my entire life! Yeh, that sounds like a great time!"

Wow. what a story. I also had a similar experience with the brain. I had a terrible experience with my then husband. He did such terrible things that had completely"dirty my brain". I could not forget the memories for years and it was horrible and I will ask for help because I didn't know how to get rid of that, until one day did a meditation.(Dec 2021). Immediately I was elevated, shown all kinds of different things, but at the end I had someone next to me holding a skull that had the top of the head cut off and I could see the brains inside. Immediately I knew he was going to show me how to clean my brain of this memories, and with his hand he took off half of the brain and threw it away, and I was like; What?? just like that? and he said yes just like this, look! and he took the other half and threw it away. I could see the empty holes that where left from were the brain was. Then I understood that I could fill it up again with new thoughts and new happy memories. I was amazed and finished the meditation. After that I could no longer not only remember but my brain just wouldn't go there again, at all! and if I go there, they don't have any effect on me anymore, till today. The pain of those memories are gone. I learned that we need to clean up the closet from all that clutter everyday to make space for new thoughts. Hope it helps somebody this message. 🙏❤
