Do you think The Pokémon creators think this deep about this stuff or do we just force everything to make sense

Game designer 1: hey jim, how do you feel about giving that mewtwo thing a tube on the back of his neck?

Game designer 2: That actually looks pretty cool, great idea.

Gnoggin: What could this possibly mean?

It's obvious. That second neck isn't a neck. It's a tube. Filled with science. A SCIENCE TUBE.

The extra neck is because the scientists decided to troll him and make it so that every time he walks by a door the extra neck will get caught on the handle.

It is just an aesthetic symbolism to him being a synthetic being.
It's like pipes / wires like how Bane has these connected to the Venom tank

The thing on Mega Mewtwo Y's head is the gamecube carrying handle.

Mewtwo has two necks because his name is Mew *two.* Simple.

I always assumed it was for structural integrity because his head was so heavy, but the neck itself needed to be both study enough to support the head, but also lightweight enough to hold up

The hole/arch part serves the same function that the Trex's skull holes is believed to be

It's like "blood grooves", parts of the structure is shaved off to reduce its weight whilst sacrificing as little sturdiness as possible

The letting the blood out the sword part of blood grooves is a myth. It's just to make it lighter to hold

So the Rex has a head it can carry, it's skull needs it's holes

Perhaps also because cloning is a very difficult process with a very low success and survival rate, the very first clone Dolly died due to lung complications and so did the Pyrenean ibex (the 1st cloned extinct animal) and in the uncut japanese version there were 4 other developed clones of the starters and Mr.Fuji's daughter, all of which perished with Mewtwo barely surviving. The extra neck may have been formed to assist in critical nutrients to travel from the head and body of the embryo and perhaps to ensure the proper function of the respiratory system.

I always thought that extra "neck" was like a socket the scientists used to access Mewtwo's brain during development. One of the ends was loose from Mewtwo's body and they would plug it into their machines. When they were done with Mewtwo, they fused that socket to its body to protect the endings

Mega Mewtwo Y's forehead arch could be a bony outcropping to help protect it's giant brain.

In before the rest of the vid. I think one is for his throat and esophagus and spine. The second one is simply a second, much larger brain stem. He would possess massive brain power due to his psychic typing so he would need to distribute it through his body which results in the enlarged brainstem. However its too big for one neck so it made a second one

Because why not

No, dolphins have relatively low brain to body ratio. This is mostly due to their large amount of blubber that they need to stay warm in the water. Blubber doesn't take any brain power but does add to the mass.

Actually Shrews have the largest brain per body size. This is because many functions of the brain do not scale. The smaller the creature get's the larger it's brain becomes relative to it's body.
