Old Table Manners Instructional Videos

I was working on a video about the Disney Channel Games for this week, but it was taking too long and I had a deadline to meet so I figured this would be a fun video to make in the meantime! I took a look at some old table manners tutorials from the 1950s. One teaches children how to behave at lunchtime and the other is for more general dinner manners.

I thought it would be fun to test the techniques out for myself as well. So enjoy a little taste of The Cramers' Kitchen. Beer soup is my new favorite.

"A Mr. Bungle wouldn't wash his hands."
A Mr. Bungle wouldn't not hog all the soap for himself either but here we are I guess.

Mr. Cramer has a subtle alcohol addiction. Don’t be a Mr. Cramer.

Scott: *forgets the microwave cover*
Omniscient 1950s narrator: only a mr. Bungle would forget to put the microwave cover on his food!

For some reason, “mr. bungle” and the big ass slice of cake is an inside joke in my family. Truly surreal to see someone else addressing this

"People aren't lying awake at night thinking about table manners."

Meanwhile, I'm sitting here thinking, 'have i been eating soup wrong my entire life'

Fun Fact: Mr Bungle was also an X-rated film star.

I literally have a picture, that I took in Ireland, of a shop sign that word for word reads; "Soup of the Day:
Ice Cold Beer"

I like that Scott moves around the kitchen like it's not his kitchen. Like he's visiting someone and it's the middle of the night lol.

“Sounds like Mr. Bungle” totally has the same energy as “Sounds like Mr. Struggle to me”

I've always wanted to do some kind of manners competition where people get together to eat a meal and try to be as proper as possible while I keep score of who does the most faux pas.

"When I was in school Michelle Obama took our peanut butter away" Jesus christ, somehow I managed to forget that Scott is 6 years younger than me, and that gap actually has significance

This is fake, tables didn't exist in the 50's.

Can’t stop chuckling at Scott’s dish cloth that says “Paper towels are white trash”.

Scott: “do you even mess with these covers. They are a life saver!”
Also Scott : *doesn’t use the cover*
*Scott a minute later *
