Yes, money can buy happiness that comes at a price. It includes books, hobbies that cost money, being able to afford health care, etc.

It cannot buy abstract happiness like love, connection, and fulfilment.

No “thing” can buy more happiness. But financial security certainly gives us more choices...

The question assumes happiness is for sale! Its not. If you have resources, of which money could be counted as a pervasive resource. it could ease some of your troubles. Steve Jobs had $8BN to his name but left the world somewhat unhappy. happiness needs three things (According to Ali ibn abu thalib) 1. Knowing truly who you are and why you are here (purpose). 2. Being content with whatever you have (fulfilled). 3. Be ready to become one with your ultimate home, back to dust (accept reality).
