I saw a billionaire say his definition of success is when your grown children like hanging out with you. I agree.

I'm one of those guys. Except I make 75k and my wife makes 47k from home, so we're living a DAMN GOOD LIFE!
We celebrate it everyday about how privileged and blessed we are to have such a great life, beautiful family, own a home, have good jobs.
I'm still grinding, and I have some plans in the works (because id love for my wife to quit working, even though she says she doesn't want to, I want her to have option) but don't take anything you have for granted. If you make 35k+ you are in the TOP 1% of THE WORLD.
Perspective is everything.

I’d feel like I failed if I was worth 100M and my friend is still earning 42K a year

They complain about it cuz they are trying to rid that guilt of actually NOT wanting to be with their family.

I am just sickened by everybody surrounds me and thank whomever I'm old and I get to exit sooner than later

The disease of “more” is also what drives an addict. Marinate on that.

Problem is many people who make a lot believe they are not enough or worthy of love just by existence. So they build companies where they are needed and connect a lot of self worth to work. That’s fatal if you want to spend more time with the fam…

I made the decision instead of going to medical school knowing I could have had a very successful career to stay home with my children because I had a disabled child at the time and my other son was an infant. I lived off $11, 000 a year for multiple years for all three of us. I will NEVER regret that time that I stayed home with them. They're now 23 and 21 and 2 of the best human beings that I know and during that time I even took in homeless kids that I never received a dollar for. Id do it all over again. Some things matter way more than money. Because the true definition of WEALTH is really in the eye of the beholder and you can't take it with you. You can't take money with you. The only thing that you can take with you is the bonds that you have forged out of love. That will be the only thing that connects you to anything once you leave this place. 😉💖

I wish I could become a multimillionaire to tell people that money is not important.

I’m one of the first guys. I teach and coach high school sports. Money has NEVER motivated me to do anything. You aren’t taking your wealth into the afterlife and I’d rather spend my time building meaningful relationships. That’s the good stuff in life

The thing is they aren't in control. They are addicted to the thrill of seeking more. They a fearful and anxious because they have tooany options. It turns in to sad state .

I was making 78k working 4:30am to 4pm. With an hour commute.

I now make 48k working 7:30-3:30 with a 5 minute commute. Money isn't everything.

Valid point… but I HIGHLY doubt Gary has friends living off $40K per year.
