I just got it Xbox one. Survival mode is where its at..I haven't really been into the story much but its the best survival game out for consoles

I can absolutely confirm this game has been almost completely fixed as of march 2019, mind you this is much later, so it should be, just thought I should let everyone know :) one of the best survival games out there and I'd say the best by far on console.

I have good 400 hours on the game bought it in 2014 feb 12, when it was still early access. It never had crashed on PC after 4 years playing it.

This is a great game, I haven't had any crashes on Xbox Series X. I would recommend any new players to start on the easiest difficulty as there is a steep learning curve on harder difficulties and it might put new players off

The game is very fun and addictive, story mode is flat and bland but survival is where it's at. The bugs on the other hand make this game unplayable, it crashes constantly and you can only play between 3-4 hrs before it crashes and deletes your entire save file. It has been brought to the developers multiple times but they give generic responses and continue to release patches for small details instead of the big one the makes the game worthless to invest any time into. Once that is taken care of I would not have any problem rating this game in the 8-9 range personally, but for now it's in the 1-2 out of ten simply because you are not surviving the wilderness as much as your trying to survive the creators complete lack of caring wether the game works or not.

It seems to be running a lot better now, I'm almost done with episode 2 and only had five crashes and no freezes. Also, the wolves are terrified of flares now.

I had similar issues with Sniper 3 Ghost Warrior. I would beat big parts of the game or take hours clearing out an area and then die somewhere and I would come back and all the enemy's would be back and it would show it not being completed but the story would continue like I beat it. Stopped playing it because of that.

Ouch. Never had a crash on PC. I believe the game is all about the survival mode. Story mode is basically a poorly produced tutorial.

The Long Dark is my favorite game but it crashes beacause you play on ps4 it doesnt crash nearly as much on pc

i love this game. and honestly i do have the same gripe about the wolves. there seems to be far to many of them. and not just far to many. but always seem to be in your path. other then that, food is so not hard to come buy. there is tonnes of it. if you are low tho, the ballsy thing to do is stalk a wolf and either shoot it with a bow or gun, or if you don't have either but a knife. get ready and stab the fuck out of it. then follow it. it will die and give you fair amount of meat. that being said. there is also fishing. which is actually rather lucrative.

I think the tutorial is mean to be like this, know the game since 2014, when it didn't have any tutorial, there was only one map and you had to figure out your way to survive as well as to learn how to do it. Wolves meant a 70-100% Condition loss, supplies were limited and the people who layed it struggled to survive even day one.

Since I bought the game, I didn't meet any bugs. Sure there were some funny texture glitches like sinking to your neck in a rock, or placing a campfire on a Bear Carcass, and when the carcass disappeared there was only a floating campfire, but I think it's funny.

Other than that, this game has very nice design and interesting story I think as well as a fun Survival Mode. It gets better with every update it gets. I'm looking forward to see how it will look like when we get to the last Episode.

This game isn't a fast paced game with running and jumping around and shooting what you see, you have to be patient and think logically. There are features that aren't obvious first, but they exist and actually make sense and they can play a huge role in your surviving, so you better know them and they best way to do so, is to explore it for yourself.

Have they fixed those crashes? Im looking to buy this game on my PS4 so i would really apreciate any info :)
