Purchased this yesterday. Started to learn drums almost 2 years ago. Started with Alesis Nitro, then Alesis Strike Pro. Now upgrading to this. I figure if I have a passion and have the means, why not?

The question is when is Roland going to fix the static sound of a drum when playing fast on a pad. Software drums has solved this many years ago, but Roland seem to be quite a bit behind.

Not one video anywhere (at least that I can could find) of brush work either with nylon or metal brushes and I use both. I wonder if that brush feel and sound replicates well? I'd like to also inquire about mallets especially for swishes on the cymbals in particular the action of mallets on acoustic cymbals vs. these Roland cymbals. How about wooden tipped sticks vs. nylon? Both are noticeably different on real acoustic drums/cymbals. How would this compare with the VAD 706?

Does that module have a USB Send/Return option? That's key as a DAW can play the tracks that are loaded, feed into the module which you can play too and record the new tracks along with what's playing all into the DAW simultaneously.

For $8000 and the lack of those other essential components (kick pedal, hi-hat stand which are roughly another $500 and two stands another $150) no drum throne at this point, you're in the hole about $9000 USD plus tax. Why Roland didn't package All of these essentials vs. ala carte is
somewhat of a head scratcher as the No Noise pedals go hand in hand with the VAD 706.

Is there Bluetooth? I used to perform my content via Bluetooth on the Td-17. If it’s not there, I’ll have to figure an alternative (mine is coming next week).

Makes it really sad still having a TD-6... That's as far back as all-rubber pads (except the snare) and with 2-zone cymbals...
Sounds like the '90s (despite being from the early 2000s) and buggy or broken sensors as well. - Thing still cost a fortune at the time...
