He's absolutely afraid of well-rounded heavyweights. You have to understand the man's psychology and ego. Losing scares him more than anything. Matchups make fights, and that's why he wants no part of Aspinall and other large heavyweights who can wrestle. Alex Pereira is a scary striker, but Jones knows he could easily outwrestle him.

I don't think Jones is afraid of them. When he says "they don't get the juices flowing", I think he means the challenge isn't there with the risk vs reward. When he can fight Stipe who is regarded as one other best heavy weights out there having been a champion. That gets the juices flowing more. There is more challenge with that fight, more to win than just a win, and when he wins it will secure his status as the GOAT.

Jon has no interest in fighting them. He can say it's because of their popularity but stipe is as popular as a forgotten sock. Jon doesn't like risk, and stipe is the perfect low risk value opponent Jon wants. I just hope after this fight, BOTH guys retire. Jon Jones and stipe miocic are terrible for the modern heavyweight division.
