I doubt its the end, just that WW# as it was just didnt fit in with what they had in mind. and Consider ww84 thats not Surprising. I would also think lack of BO from Black Adam didnt help. I did see an article where considering ZSJL was being considered. The smart thing is to allude to what happened and move forward. If you want to recast., then Fine. Although I think its a mistake to recast Cavill and Gadot.
