Multiplying Polynomials

This tutorial demonstrates how to multiply polynomials. Examples include multiplying 2 or 3 binomials together, a binomial by a trinomial, squaring a binomial and squaring a trinomial. This tutorial was written for the Functions (MCR3U) course in the province of Ontario, Canada.

Using the "Vertically and Crosswise" and "moving multiplier" techniques from Vedic Mathematics allows for the multiplication of any size polynomials and squaring of polynomials to be done in one line with the grouping of all like terms to be done automatically. This is approach is shorter, faster and easy to understand.
