I saw two gorgeous Dutch Shepherds today and instantly fell in love. I had to learn more about them. I wish I could own one. Sadly, I am not the right type of person for this type of energetic dog. I would never be able to keep up with it. I would never get a dog that I am not right for it's not fair to the animal. I do think these are the most beautiful dogs I have ever seen.

My heart dog Leilah was a Dutch. She was the love of my life. She listened to me as if she was a human. The only time she growled in her life was when I almost died and I was found with her laying with her whole body on my chest, licking my face. She growled when EMS approached me, like "something is wrong with her, don't come any closer"

We just adopted one from a shelter. 3 and half months old and wow he’s learned so much so quick. The only thing he needs work on is not pulling on the leash when on a walk but other than that he picks up things pretty quick. He’s the cutest and so cuddly with me and my girl. Just dont let them wander the house at a young age by themselves if you don’t want to find a mess 😂

I was a little upset when I realized the breeder lied and told me I was getting a German Shepard, now that her colors came in I realized she is a Dutch Shepard. The breeder sends all of their dogs to the local police departments, I'm surprised at the price, I live in Mexico so everything is cheaper than back home but I only paid $150 USD because they're my neighbors. I guess I got a good deal.

Loved this video. I saw a Dutch Shepherd at the Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris. She was with a parisian policeman and was wearing combat gear. Beautiful but very severe looking. I took a quick photo and kept my distance!

My dog is at least part dutch Shepard. I'm not a great dog trainer and she learned well despite my shortcomings. Like other comments she pulls me the 1 st couple blocks. She looks exactly like these dogs and has all the behaviours.

I bought a GS puppy 7 months old at the time. I was told his dad was police GS and his mum was Malinois but after watching this video he has the exact same black nose colouring and brindle colouring (rear half) so he's maybe half Dutch. He's now 1 year and 3 months weighing 40kg but athletic build and very protective.
His favourite thing to chase is a laser pen dot. He'll run forever chasing that around the park. Everyone laughs when they see him chasing a dot around😍

I have a 3 year old Dutch Shepherd (short haired) I’ve had her since she found me at the age of 6 months old. She’s my EVERYTHING. She literally potty trained herself and is SO smart. Tennis balls are her drug of choice. Lol seriously shes addicted.The only thing she struggles with is leash pulling. But if she has on the right collar it doesn’t bother me to bad . I know she’s just so happy/excited to go on walks and honestly I find amazement and joy is everything she does. She’s a GREAT family dog. But if you are thinking about getting one make sure you have a fenced in yard for them to run around in. Mine LOVES “patrolling” the yard lol

I researched dogs for two years one of my choices was a Norwegian Elkhound but then I found out about the Dutch shepherd and got one he is only 9 weeks old was the easiest dog I ever had to potty train and is very smart yes he is high enough but I really enjoy him I wanted a dog that I could go to the lake with go hiking he is just amazing we named him Zeus and he is living up to his name

My Dutchie ran at the age of 12 years 7 to 10 miles beside my bicycle without any problem. They are a very hardy breed without mayor health problems. He died at the age o 15, 5 years.. Soon i get a new pup .
