I think that the last line, “was it immigrants, and paper clips, or was it me and you?” is a reference to Operation Paperclip and Werner Von Braun. He had been a nazi rocket scientist during WWII and was the director of NASA when we landed on the moon. He had been captured and brought to America after the war along with a bunch of other nazi scientists who spent the war designing German weapons. Instead of executing him for war crimes like many of his comrades, the American government decided to employ him. Interesting what the government is and is not willing to forgive, when it comes to immigration. But yeah, I think Jesse might be pointing out that the “greatest generation” of Americans is a lie based on the achievements of literal nazi rocket scientists, aided by the fact that the US was one of the only western nations not bombed into oblivion. I’ve never thought about it in those precise terms before, but it’s certainly at least a good chunk of the truth.

I was a drone operator in the US Army for six years, stationed in a Heavy Attack Reconnaissance Squadron. I worked with Blackhawk and Apache pilots for a lot of training events. We have similar progression levels in Army Aviation. They don't just hand out licenses. These idiots don't even know the amount of training and progression required. The Pilot In Command will gladly sit you out of a flight if they do not believe you can fly, let alone certify you. These people blaming DEI are idiots and have no idea how the real world works.
