WINGED HUSSAR + JANISSARY vs EVERY UNIQUE UNIT (Total Resources) | AoE II: DE

preview_player
Показать описание
The Winged Hussar is a light cavalry unit in Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition - Dawn of the Dukes that can be trained at the Stable once the Imperial Age is reached. It is a more powerful upgrade to the Light Cavalry which replaces the Hussar upgrade for the Lithuanians and the Poles. They are quick, have decent pierce armor and high Line of Sight as well as an innate resistance to conversion and an attack bonus against Monks.

Winged Hussar do not have an Elite version. They are also considered a regional unit.

Attack: Blast Furnace (+2, Poles only)
Lechitic Legacy (33% blast damage in 0.5 tile radius, Poles only)

The Janissary is the unique unit of the Turks in Age of Empires II. It is a gunpowder unit with great range and good melee armor.

Janissaries can be upgraded to Elite Janissaries in the Imperial Age.

A related unit, the Royal Janissary, is only available in the Scenario Editor. It has exactly the same stats as the Elite Janissary, apart from the HP.

Cost: 80 Food (Winged Hussar)
60 Food, 55 Gold (Janissary)

Out of all the possible troop combinations this is one of them...

Hey Mike, I think a cool combo would be keshik and plumbed archers

Now we know that all it takes to beat cataphracts is to have the absolute worst troop combination possible!

It is difficult to play as a Turk. Because there is no wood based trash unit. It is necessary to make the build order food-based. It's hard to play against Cavalry Civilizations because they don't have Halb/Pikeman.

Although Turks are actually classified as Gun Powder Civilization, they can also be used as Cav Archer Civilization. Because Turk Heavy Cav Archers are even better than Mangudai when fully upgraded thanks to the Sipahi upgrade. If you use the Turks as the Cav Archer civilization, you can create a more balanced build order as the wood usage rate will increase. In addition, free upgrade Hussars with bonus pierce armor provide a significant advantage against rival Skirms and Siege Units. Also, the fully upgraded Cavalier is better than the Byzantine or the Celts' under-upgraded Paladin.

Janissary or Hand Cannoneer + Hussar(Meat Shield)+Champion combo wins against most infantry units. So Turks are strong against Infantry Civilizations (Goths are an exception). Also, even more interestingly, against infantry units, Hand Cannoneers are better than Elite Janissaries. Against other unit types, Elite Janissaries are better than Hand Cannoneers.
In order to be able to play with a small amount of gold in the late game, it is necessary to upgrade Campion or at least the Two-Handed Swords Man Upgrade in advance.

On the other hand, it is necessary to use Champion + Hussar combination against Huskarl. Cavalier can also join this combination when necessary.

Turks have powerful Bombard Cannons, and BC and Trebuchet work better together against buildings in any situation. BCs are more mobile and can be used when packing Trebuchets. BCs can be used against siege units and archer units. Trebuchet provides more damage and has a longer range. For this reason, BC + a small number of Trebuchet combinations can be used.

It is not right to use Turks as Gunpowder Civilizations against Cavalry Civilizations, against Archer Civilizations and against Caval Archer Civilizations. In these cases, Turks should be used like the Horse Archer civilization.

The combination of plenty of Heavy Camel Rider + +Hussar (to save gold) + a small number of Janissary is very effective against all cavalry units, even Frank Paladins. Janissary is for use if the opponent sends Halb or Campion. An alternative use against Cavalry Civilizations is the combination of Heavy Camel Rider +Hussar (for gold saving) + Heavy Cav Archer. Although this usage is slightly more effective, it requires more upgrades. Another alternative is the Heavy Camel Rider +Hussar +Champion combination.

Hussar Reid +Bombard Cannon combination is effective against Archer Civilizations. Depending on the situation, even Mangonel and Scorpion can be used against Archer Civilizations. However, the combination of Hussar Reid +Non-Elite Skirm +Siege Unit is effective in Castle Age both to save gold and to make it harder for the opponent to micro. Non-Elite Skirms are almost as effective against archers and Cav Archers as Elite Skirms. In the Post-Imperial Age, Heavy Cav Archer or Cavalier can be added to this combination. Rattan Archer and Genoese Xbow are exceptions. For Rattan Archer, only Cavalier will be enough. However, for Genoese Xbow, more Non-Elite Skirm and Siege Units are required.

A combination of Hussar Reid + Non-Elite Skirm + plenty of Heavy Cemal Rider would be good against Cav Archer Civilizations. +Bombard Cannon can also be used against units depending on the situation.

I thought, on paper, this to be a great combo.

Hey @mikeempires, I don't understand the choice for Winged Hussar here when Magyar Huszar would have given the comp a better chance at the same cost.... rematch? :)

Did he use poles or Lithuanians winged hussars?

If you pick Turk, you Must rich.
Because the basic troop is weak.
Do'nt have pikeman/halbeldier, don't have elite skrimisher, don't have albalest, and don't have paladin.

If the Turk have a paladin, make a better combo with janissary.

Unfortunately just have Cavaliers and Wings hussar.

Yeniçeriler longbowman hariç bütün üniteleri yener. Sanırım armor yükseltmeleri yok temel statlarla yapılmış karşılaştırma bizde bir çok kez kıyasladık.
