I review my REV'IT! Offtrack adventure motorcycle riding suit. With lots of ventilation, CE level 2 armor, and thermal and waterproof layers, is this the all weather ADV suit you've been looking for? Let's find out.

I use similar gear from Büse (Büse Highlands) and I found you experience on the layer system very insightful!
I think it's not for changing it on a ride at the side of the road but for preparing in the morning. So if the weather is getting worse and it's going to be a rainy day than you put that inlay into the jacket.

There are two things that could be worth to speak about in a video:
First the boots! I do have off-road boots from Vanucci (VTB 11) and they simply don't fit under my pants! Normal sized touring boots do fit though! And I don't want to stuff my pants into the boots because with all the zipper and the length it's kinda to much either.
So it's kinda like with heavy off-road boots that I need different pants that are small on the foot so that they can go inside the boot. It seems like that there are boots that simply are to big to wear a pant above them?! Maybe you can show some examples here!
For rain protection it does makes sense for me to let the pants fall over the boot like you show in your video.

And the second one is simply cleaning and washing! Can I wash my gear simply in a washing machine or does that break some fabric or weather protection? Especially loosing water protection wouldn't be so nice. On the other hand if I use a water protection spray than the whole gear seams to loose some of it's ventilation. How do you clean your pants and jacket?
It would be totally fine for me if your would cooperate with a partner when doing a video about that. After all if I know what to look for I don't care about the specific brand.

Oh and as you kinda said: it's always good to drive to a store and try things on! Because gear like that needs to fit well. I'm always disappointed by people giving negative feedback if clothes don't fit when they ordered online. Things like that need to be tried first.

Greetings from Germany! Ride on and Ride safe!

I bought the Rev'it Sand 3 back in 2019 I think and was absolutely amazed at how good it was especially for the discounted price I got it as. Worked well in German summer and winter. Then in early 2022 I had quite a big slide and was even happier with my investment in this suit because I had abolutely no injuries thanks to the suit. If I had not worn the pants that day, I would definitly be missing a kneecap today. Anyway, after that and without any hesitation I bought the Sand 4, just to discover that it is even better. The ventilation is even better, it looks better, it fits better. I haven't tried it in an accident yet and don't plan on trying it anytime soon, but I can really encourage everyone to try out Rev'it gear, especially if you are on a tighter budget so you want some gear that you can use in all 4 seasons.

Another well in depth review Ian, I was looking for a jacket last week, and went with the Alpinestar jacket since the klim baha suit 4 was kind of expensive for my budget. Looked into Revit and watched Ryan from fortnine i liked his review and the features of the alpinestar which i ordered. It is a 3 season suit.... and i agree with puting a rain suit on top of the jacket not liners....
Thanks for the detailed review.

Thanks for the Review, Ian. I've never owned Revit Gear, but It is always in the back of my mind.

I originally purchased the Klim Carlsbad suit. It worked for me, but I felt it was too loose and bulky. I sold it and purchased a Rev’it Dominator 3 suit. I absolutely love the European cut. Once my Klim mesh suit wears out, I’ll likely buy a Rev’it mesh suit. Great review, Ian!

I use the Rev It Sand 4 in San Luis Obispo County California. Could be 110 degrees in one part of the county and 55 degrees in another area on the same day. Extreme Micro climates. Works great for me.

Just bought this jacket, and according to the Rev'it website - as well as the sales person - the hydratex liner is meant to be worn OVER the shell for rain protection even though it also serves as the liner. Haven't got around to trying that out though.

My first experience with RevIt is there rain riding suit and love it! When I used to ride in the PNW with all the rain there it works phenomenal, dry and adds another layer to keep the wind out as well and keep the heat in during the cooler months. Great review Ian, thanks for sharing, be nice to review the Cardo and Sena systems if you have experienced both or could get your hands on them, thanks

I bought Octane jacket and pants. About $850 for set. Decent gear, lots of vents and waterproof liners. Pretty happy with them.

Rev-it gloves are also sized way small. I bought the Rev-it Sand 4 gloves and I wear a medium / large in gloves however, with Rev-it Sand 4 glove I was warned to go big. So, I bought the XXL gloves, and the fingers were still tight - real tight. I had to break them in before I dare use them for riding. While watching TV or YouTube I put on the gloves and repeatedly make a fist over and over and any movement to strain the leather in all ways possible. I did this several evenings and eventually the gloves fit much better. Warning - for the Rev-it Sand 4 gloves go up two sizes.

I'm a big Rev'it fan! I'm maybe 1/2" taller than you and same other dimensions but a Medium in Rev'it fits me perfectly; I like my gear to fit snug but not tight. I feel more comfortable that the armor will be in the right place if/when needed. I have 5 different Rev'it jackets all Med size but I do not wear their liners, I use other liners when required. If I was going to wear the liners then a Large would fix better, not sure about an XL. I do like that blue offtrack jacket, I bet your wife loves your collection of riding gear...HAHA

This Revit review meshes well with previous KLIM reviews. It's good to see a range of choices. Does the Revit jacket zip to the pants? Your choices and experience with rain suits, gloves and gaiters would be interesting (as are all of your videos). Thank you!!

Got myself the Re:vit Sand H2O combi in black/white/blue/red including the insulating layer and waterproof membrane. For my climate in SW Germany the right choice of gear. I don’t have any comparison experience with Klim gear though. I see the point of separate waterproof overalls but so far I was lucky enough to have made the right choices of membrane before I went out for a ride. Use it lots to commute shorter distances, too.

I believe Rev’It suggests you wear their rain liner OVER the jacket, yes? Other reviews also recommend that, and say that it works extremely well. Other reviews also have noted the jacket offers excellent ventilation. By the way, the jacket is on sale during the holiday season.

The biggest challenge isn't so much finding great gear to fit the various riding conditions, it's paring down all those options to the *minimum* needed for all possible conditions, AND still have room left in one's luggage for all of the other clothing/shoes/boots and camping gear you'd still like to pack for that trip. While it may not be ideal for all riding situations, a bonded Gortex suit (along with base and mid-layers as needed) is probably the single best choice for a multi-week ride. Of course if you're one of those who also pull a motorcycle trailer behind you then, by all means, take the whole closet with you. Speaking of your closet, what do you recommend for a nice waterproof, winter glove this season?

I have an older Revit jacket and it has held up well. Good stuff. I am now using Motoport stuff that is custom fit out of CA. They use a stretch Kevlar fantastic gear

I am using the Revit Sand 4 which i believe is a better jacket than the Offtrack, pants seem to be exactly the same. I also use waterproof liner on the outside. Sand 4 has been great for the past one and a half year for me in Greece, from the hot beach to the cold snowy mountains in one jacket.

Hi, I like your motorcycle reviews. Have you reviewed 2021 Honda NC750X DCT? I could not find it on your channel.
