What immediately catches the eye is the front, completely revised compared to the current Mattighofen Adventure range and with a decidedly more minimalist and "clean" line.
The key element of the front style is the new optical unit,, a small prism that replaces the previous and bulky "diamond" element, It is flanked by two side lights, whose function is probably that of daytime running lights.
In addition to the different tank, the 990 Adventure prototype features a new cooling system, consisting of two radiators placed laterally and apparently inclined at 30 degree compared to the profile of the bike.

Ready to beat the Tenere 700? I think the 790 addresses that. As you mentioned the 990 is replacing the 890 to compete with the other European manufacturers. The T7 is not in the same class as the 890. Imo

its not a 990 without the LC8 engine. The parallel is too wide.

KTM never has and never will beat Yamaha, Suzuki or Honda because KTM cant build anything reliable. I owned one and put 1500 miles on it. The thing had electrical problems and missed gears and the dealer acted like it was normal. Not only that but the shop was FULL of other brand new KTMs. Will never buy another one.

i wish manufactures would stop increasimng engine size, I want lighter weight and slim ergonomics 800-900 cc is more then enougth, more power is useless on a adventure bike once it becomes so heavy you acn even use it offroad you might as well just buy a sport tourer, they shuld have kepy the engine at 890cc and put the bike on a diet, and dont tell me its not possible when the Kove got their 790cc bike down to 185KG
