AP HEIMLER REVIEW GUIDE (formerly known as the Ultimate Review Packet):

Instagram: @heimlers_history

In this video Heimler takes you through Unit 4 Topic 11 of the AP U.S. History curriculum which is set in period 4 (1800-1848).

As a result of the powerful forces of the Market Revolution and the Second Great Awakening, a new wave of societal reform took hold of the early American Republic in the first half of the 19th century.

Reform movements were as varied as the people who participated in them. Abolitionists like William Lloyd Garrison and Frederick Douglass called for the end of slavery. Temperance champions worked to ban alcohol. Mormons sought religious refuge in Utah while attempting to reform the Christian church. And women met in Seneca Falls in order to demand rights for themselves.

If you have any questions, leave them below and Heimler shall answer forthwithly.

This video is aligned with the AP U.S. History Curriculum and Exam Description for Unit 4 Topic 11, and all the key concepts thereunto appertaining.

Thanks for the videos. Joseph Smith wasn't lynched, he was shot and killed by a job when he was falsely imprisoned in Illinois.

Heimler, I have a burning question. The "Ultimate Review Packet..." I want to get it, but does it have *all* your videos in it? Or just the unit reviews? Because I really like these videos where you go topic by topic and I want to buy those...not just your unit reviews. The unit reviews are AMAZING but they just don't go in depth enough.
Thank you so so so much for what you do! I had the highest grade in my class last exam (I got a 97%) and the class average was...60%. Ouch. Thanks for getting me 40% above class average! These videos are great, I binge them right before the exam and I also find that I'm retaining way more through these videos than my dry textbook.

Great job. Joseph Smith was not lynched, by the way, he and his brother were shot by a mob. And thank you for the great videos. My students love them.

5 gallons per year sounds like a lot, but when you break it down it's only equivalent 1.16 standard drinks a day. Less than 2 beers, two glasses of wine or one two finger poor of your favorite spirit.

I LOVE these videos!! You got one detail a little off though. Joseph Smith didn't write his visions into the Book of Mormon, he wrote them into a separate book of revelations called the Doctrine and Covenants. The content in the Book of Mormon is a record of the peoples in Ancient Americas.
Again, LOVE these videos, literally saving my grade.
