Ukraine War: What are sea drones and how effective are they?

Ukrainian officials have released new footage of their unmanned sea drones which were responsible for the Crimean bridge attack last month.

It is the first time Ukraine’s security services have openly said that they were behind the attack on the link between the annexed peninsula and Russia on July 17.

Defence analyst Professor Michael Clarke gives his analysis of why Ukrainian security services have released this footage.

Worth noting that for the past few weeks Russia has been losing up to 25 or more artillery pieces _per day_ which suggests Ukraine is focussing on ablating Russia's ability to cover the minefields.
Also, recent video footage from the July strike on the Kerch Bridge shows a Sea Baby drone struck the rail section just as a train is passing overhead. That implies good local real-time information, and having these sea drones loiter outside detection range waiting for the right time to strike..
