The CGI monkeys look straight out of a 1995 special effects department

I don't get the point of this movie. It's almost the same story. The soundtrack and the CGI somehow seem inferior to the original film. The actors are less iconic. It's also super confusing how two virtually identical characters compete for attention in this trailer, and I'm still not sure who the protagonist is.

Just pregaming to go see Gladiators fight a bunch of people and animals, and then going home like "good match!"

This trailer is infinitely better than the previous one, by virtue of the fact that it doesn't jarringly include hip-hop in it. Intercutting a bit of Lisa Gerrard's haunting vocals, from the first film, at the beginning of this trailer transports you into this ancient world. Hip-hop only makes a parody of it.

Borrowed lines, borrowed scenes, same setting and practically identical plot and replete with CGI but at least they had the sense not to use an obligatory rap track for this trailer. As much as I like Denzel this is not something I'm interested in.

They only made this trailer to get rid of the mumble rap in the original. The damage is done, however. This movie is DOA.
