My Definitive Way Of Playing Half-Life 2

I'm back from a small break. Here's a little video on MMod and Half Life 2 Update.

How To Install:
1 - Install Half Life 2 on Steam.
2 - Install Half Life 2 Update on Steam.
3 - Install MMod by copying all the folders to the sourcemods folder
4 - Restart Steam and you'll see "Half Life 2 MMod (Half Life 2 Update)" in your games list.

I did something like this last year, combine HL2 Update and MMod, along with a bunch of HD texture mods and HD model imports from Half-Life Alyx. It was an absolute blast to play and felt like an official HL2 remaster.

Gunship Mark II actually has managed to escape Ukraine and is seeking asylum in either Canada or the US iirc

he managed to snag his hard drives for the mods on the way out and he’s been hard at work on Half-Life 1 MMOD and his various Command And Conquer mods

Yeah, I can’t go back to Vanilla after playing MMOD. A really good balance of innovation and aesthetic cohesion.

Honestly i’d recommend of your starting half life id go BLACK MESA - HL2 MMOD - Entropy Zero and then 2. It would probably be the most cohesive experience you could get.

You should totally try the upscaled texture mod too, it really makes a big difference! I can't stop zooming in to random things and fawning over how crispy everything looks. It's compatible with MMod too.

I played MMod a bunch on launch so much so i got tired of it and went back to playing the game vanilla, i really got to appreciate how the vanilla game feels it may not be as satisfing as HL1 but HL2 just has this sense of polish i hadnt detected prior to mmod's release
in a way i love mmod for that
