Computer made with brain cells: BBC News Review

Scientists have created a computer system that uses living brain cells to complete tasks. The computer, which they call ‘Brainoware’, can recognise voices and do mathematical calculations. Experts think this technology could make AI more human-like.

Thanks for discussing this scientific success. We had heard about some prosthetic devices like a prosthetic limb that connects to neural tissue and obeys the orders or commands issued by the central nervous system. The question is that what is the ability of a nerve cell based computer? This success seems vague. Connecting neural tissue to wires is not a new success.
