I’m confused because it tells you to take out the racks when doing self cleaning so what exactly am I supposed to put the grates on?

It has been a total nightmare to clean these grates. I have tried so many things including self cleaning cycle and none of them works with these grates. I totally regret even buying the stove now

Does this method get grease stains off as well?

I did not pre-test and so my grates became discolored from a caustic oven cleaner. Is there a way to fix this?
