as a travel ball player, this is why i don’t play rec. it’s just not a challenge and it’s not going to make me better. but it’s perfect for those starting or those who can’t or aren’t willing to fully commit each weekend

This is why as soon as I started travel ball my dad made me quit rec ball so it would be fair. I have been coaching my sisters rec ball and the other day this travel ball kid hit a line drive straight to one of our players. It went right into her glove and even though she caught it, it hurt her wrist really bad so I would definitely recommend not playing rec ball if you play travel!

I play softball and pitching is very hard mentally and physically. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve walked off that field crying because I pitched a terrible game. Now, I am the best pitcher on my team 💪

I used to play rec ball. Then I tryed out for a travel ball team, and I knew I wasnt gonna be the best there, because my swing at the time was like, swing and no movement at all.

But the coach put me on the team, knowing I had potential in me.
2 years later, I'm out here hitting home-runs 💪

My daughter was accused of it this past season. Most of the coaches and parents said we only won the games because she was a travel pitcher. Had to correct them let them know she's 100% rec that's got her eye on travel. Thats why she works her pitches at home for at least 30 minutes a day.

It’s so amazing to me how different wreck sports and things like club sports are!! I did wreck volleyball in 5th grade then started club in 6th and I’ve gotten to see how I used to play in 5th and it’s crazy how good I got in just a year bc of playing club

That’s why we ask our sons to tone it down when playing rec with their friends. It’s good sportsmanship. Whipping some rec team proves nothing and is childish and selfish.

I'm only 13 and playing on a 12u travel team rn, I helped my 16u rec team win their first undefeated. I was also their only pitcher so it was kinda obvious I was gonna carry them from the start.
