Fimi Mini v3 - Let's Try Waypoints

In this video I explore the waypoint function of the Fimi Mini v3. I run it through a couple of waypoint missions including one with a POI (point of interest). This little drone has a lot of features and the waypoint function is particularly robust with many options.

There's a lot of features the Fimi can do re waypoints such as:

1 'In Flight' waypoint mode; The manual says that altitude, heading, gimbal angles etc can be set for each WP

2 Saving a waypoint list and repeatedly being able to duplicate it, perhaps for patrolling or simple mapping of a person's property


3 Setting up a list of cinematic waypoints and being able to film a repeatable take during a video shoot, similar to the Skydio 2 key frame mode

Hi Marcus, nice video showing how to do waypoints with the Fimi Mini 3, thanks for sharing. Did you notice that as soon as the drone detected the circle around the landing pad "H" that the drone corrected its decent? The Fimi's use the main camera for precision landing looking for a round object. Nice to see Fimi continuing to improve the Mini 3 with firmware updates.

Marcus, Nice demonstration of waypoint missions on the FIMI Mini 3. Very nice information to have. Nice tutorial at Heroes Park. Too bad I no longer fly FIMI drones. I went with DJI Mini series. Unfortunately the ones I have no waypoints since the gimbal was wrecked on my X8 SE 2022 V2. I could not get a repair estimate from FIMI. It was a major disappointment not being able to get an estimate from FIMI. The current Amazon price is $399.00.🤤

Good demo of the waypoints feature, reminds me a little of LItchi waypoints. It seemed to work well, I need try it out sometime. But I have to admit that still don't really understand how to use the quicks shots. Great video Marcus, and thanks for sharing. And BTW, I saw all that smoke, it looks terrible. What were those guys setting up beside you as you were flying?

Looks like it's easy to be over-explosure when the camera shot the yellow landing pad, the blue landing pad is much better indeed.
